Itinerary For Shimla Kinnaur

Day 01 : Chandigarh - Shimla (125 kilometers in approximately 4 hours)

After arrival at Chandigarh/Delhi Railway Station, drive to Shimla, 2180 metres above sea level. Spend the day at leisure by exploring the Mall Road here. Dinner & Overnight at hotel Shimla.

Day 02 : Shimla - Sarahan (165 kilometers in approximately 7 hours)


After Breakfast, Drive from Shimla to Sarahan via Kufri, Theog, Fagu, Narkanda and Rampur. . On reaching Sarahan, check in to the hotel. Dinner & Overnight at Sarahan.
Sarahan commands a view of Srikhan Mahadev Peak and is famous for its 800 years old Bhimkali Temple, one of the best examples of Hill Architecture. In the evening, enjoy panoramic views of the Shrikhand Peaks. Also, visit Bhimkali Temple, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths, and attend the mesmerising aarti in the evening. After this return to your hotel & overnight stay at Sarahan.

Day 03 : Sarahan - Sangla (90 kilometres in approximately 5 hours)


Sarahan is 2744 metres above sea level. Participate in the morning aarti at Bhimkali Temple., Check out of the hotel after Breakfast, and depart for Sangla via Karcham. Your journey from here will take you to another spectacular destination in the middle of the Himalayas which is also known as Baspa valley. It is, without doubt, the prettiest valley in Himachal. Arrive at Sangla and check in to the hotel. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at Sangla.

Day 04 : Sangla - Chitkul - Sangla (40 kilometres in approximately 3 hours)


After breakfast, Explore the ancient Kamru Fort and Temple which is dedicated to the Goddess Kamakhya Devi which was brought from Assam. Leave for an excursion to Chitkul, the last Village on an old Indo-Tibetan trade route. Walk through the green orchards and enjoy the serenity as a brilliant stream passes by. As the day ends, return to the hotel in Sangla and a comfortable overnight stay at Sangla.

Day 05: Sangla - Kalpa (49 kilometres in approximately 4 hours)



Morning after Breakfast, check-out from your hotel and drive to Kalpa. 2670 metres above the sea level, Kalpa is the district headquarter of Kinnaur and was once the favorite getaway of Lord Dalhousie. On reaching Kalpa, check in to the hotel.
Once known as Chini, little has changed in Kalpa in the last 500 years. Legend has it that when Lord Dalhousie wanted to take a break from his hectic schedule in Shimla, he would come here on his Horseback. By the side of Kalpa is a 79 feet high rock formation that resembles a Shivlinga that changes its colour as the day passes., rest in your hotel for a while. In the evening, visit the Buddhist Gompa, Hu Bu Lan Kar. Return to the hotel & a comfortable overnight stay at Kalpa.

Day 06 : Kalpa Local


Early in the morning, enjoy the sunrise over Kinner Kailash Peaks. Kalpa is famous for its apples and chilgoza plantations. The tree belongs to the pine family and the fruit is about an inch long and wrapped in a soft cover.Visit the local school and the Narayan Nagini Temple Complex, which has shrines of Hindu, Buddhist and some local deities.Go for an excursion to Roghi Village to get closer to the ‘Pahari’ way of life as you mingle with the locals. Later return to the hotel in Kalpa and a comfortable overnight stay at Kalpa.

Day 07 : Kalpa to Narkanda (213 kilometres in approximately 8 hours)

After Breakfast Morning Drive from Kalpa to Narkanda, which will take around 8 hours. Reach Narkanda in the evening and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Return to the hotel and a comfortable overnight stay Dinner at hotel in Narkanda.

Day 08 : Narkanda Kufri Chail Chandigarh


Wake up early in the morning and after breakfast drive to Hattu Peak to watch the beautiful sunrise from there. Drive to Chandigarh from Kufri & Chail and get dropped at the railway station or Airport for your onward journey. Beautiful Memory Still Forever.

60% cancellation will apply 14 to 7 days of travel date.
80% cancellation will apply 6 to 2 days to travel date.
No refund cancellation on same or previous day.
No refund will be made in the case of Mechanical trouble to the vehicle or natural calamities like, landslide, flood, earthquake, heavy Snowfall, or any other reason beyond the control of Aryavart
